After watching my performance on the tape today, I was a little angry at myself because I rushed all of my movements and it caused the appearance of the dance to change a little bit. I didn't move around a lot in dance and for the most part, stayed in one area. I think I did a pretty good job of creating a variety of different movements and trying to use dynamics. I think I tend to stick with softer movements but in this project, I focused on trying to use more sharp movements. My dance was really based off of my quote, which was a bible verse on love, and this caused me to stick a little more to the softer and flowy moves. I didn't use music and my costume was chosen to show the soft and nice side of love; i wore pastel colors and a loose shirt. I tried to use a motif to represent the three terms in my quote and I repeated them several times. I think for the most part, I was pretty proud of my choreography but a little disappointed in my performance of it.

Solo Critique (:
I really enjoyed watching Taylor's piece because it was really well choreographed. I also liked that we had similar quotes but our dances were completely different. I think she used the music really well with her choreography and had a variety of moves. Some of the moves seemed a bit like filler moves or moves that were only put in because she needed choreography, like piques and the leap. She had a really good use of dynamics in her choreography but I think she could have performed the dynamics with a little more power. I didn't fully understand the weaving of the quote in her dance but I could see some connections. She had a good use of space and also seemed to have a little bit of repetition in the beginning and end. I don't know if she chose a certain costume and her music wasn't edited. Her choreography was really good overall and I really enjoyed her performance.
