You must critique your solo:
You will use the guiding questions listed below to blog your commentary/opinions about your solo and your partners solo.
Use the following bullet points as a guideline:
• Concept. Do you think you/your partner successfully used their text, and is the concept clear.
• Movement ingenuity. DO you think the movement sophisticated? If so why/why not? What is the style of the movement and the quality of the movement? Do you think the movement developed throughout the piece? Is the movement interesting? Why/why not? Is it a good movement choice for the text, music (if they had music) and the concept? If there was no music did the silence work? Did you/your partner edit your music? How did that effect the ending of the piece?
• Development. Does the piece have a strong beginning middle and end? Is there a climatic moment? Is the choreography manipulated so that the piece uses many different interactions, floor patterns, levels, formations, facings? Are the transitions smooth?
• Performance Quality. Did the performer costume, did the costume enhance the piece? Did the dancers dance full out? Use space well?
