Solo Critique

Mine:
I thought that my solo was good, but not as good as I could have made it. For my first time choreographing something it wasn't to bad but I feel that it could have been more fluid. In some parts I did use my text to fit the movement, but most of the time I was unsure on how to use my text so the dancing didn't always fit in with it. I thought the music choice I picked was good because it was different and kind of in a lower tone, and it was always changing and the counts would change. My costume didn't really add anything to my piece and I didn't think of it having any important meaning. I also thought that my transitions throughout the piece could been smoother, or used other movement to get to the next step that could of looked better.

Kristi's:
I thought her solo was very well put together. It looked like she took the time and effort into it. At the beginning when she started with the hand movements, you could already tell the concept from her piece. From that point forward the concept was still shown and you could tell she used her text. Her transitions were nice and the dance was pieced together very well. At some points there was just a lot of arm movement and not much else, so maybe it would of been nice to see more dancing, but it was still such a great solo to watch. The music she used was good for the piece because the accents were so dramatic she could make her movement that much more exciting to watch. The only thing about her music was that it wasn't cut. For her costume, I'm not really sure if it was supposed to fit the piece but it made the piece look sophisticated. Overall though, a very nice solo to watch.
