I was very happy with my solo. I thought coreographing to a text would be hard to do, but it was actually easier that i thought. I was very excited when my music was approved, and wanted to create a dance that lived up to the music. For each type of person mentioned in my quote, i tried to create moves that would represent that "person". There were 2 main contrasting people described in the quote. The good people who are fighting evil, and the evil who are fighting good. In these type of people i tried to have the "evil" on one side of the stage, and moves that were done more upright to represent the power that evil people have. Then i tried to make the "good" on the other side of the stage and moves that were on the ground more, and heavy to represent the power evil has over the good. Throughout my piece there are many times where i turn around myself, this is to represent the ways that everyone is connected in a circular motion, and it is one giant cycle connecting every type of person.
